We – the graduates of the »Year 17« of the Ostkreuz School of Photography – proudly present our final works.
The 22 works in our final exhibition move between documentary and artistic photography, addressing contemporary political, social, and personal issues. Over the span of a year and a half, we delved into freely chosen subjects, using a range of visual languages. These subjects were then translated into photography using various formal, aesthetic, and conceptual approaches.
Through numerous classes led by esteemed photographers and educators,
Ina Schoenenburg, Göran Gnaudschun, Sibylle Fendt, and Peter Bialobrzeski, our projects wove together into a collective endeavour. As a result, what we are presenting isn’t just an assortment of 22 isolated viewpoints. Rather, it's a cohesive collection born from continuous exchange. Our final exhibition, a product of shared development, organisation, and funding, is curated by the teachers who have been integral to realising the works.
The exhibition will be shown at Konnekt.Berlin in Marzahn. The works will be presented in an exhibition catalogue, as well as individually designed photo books and publications. The supporting program includes panel discussions, a tour lead by curator, Ingo Taubhorn, and an evening dedicated to the story of the Ostkreuz School.
We look forward to seeing you at the exhibition.
